Siamese cats often get a bad rap. Not sure where the reptutation for being agressive comes from, but I can assure you this cat is nothing like those sly Siamese cats in the Disney movie ”Lady and the Tramp”; “We are Siamese if you please…we are Siamese if you don’t please.” Bailey and I used to be best buddies; he was my sugar pie, my sunshine, my cuddle muffin. When I moved out of my parents house, our relationship inevitably changed. He no longer bounces to the door and meows to greet me, or rubs his head on mine. In fact, since I adopted Shelby my little Chihuahua, he runs away at the sound of my voice. He associates it with Shelby the 3 lb terror who really just wants to say “hello”. It makes me sad to think about it; Bailey Boo doesn’t love me anymore :( But that’s okay; I’ve come to realize that all things eventually come to an end. I just wish I could have savoured those Bailey moments just a little longer.
These shots were taken last week; we tricked Bailey into thinking the dog was not around (she was hidden inside the house!). The session lasted all of 20 minutes until the jig was up; Bailey had figured it out and ran into his hiding spot in the basement. I did manage, however, to capture some nice poses of him outside. My mom wants some nice pictures of Bailey before he gets too old and cranky. I’m planning on taking some more pictures over the next few months so that I can put together a photo album of the “little monkey”.
